                          FAMILY FUN

A mention of the word Ferrari and I'm guessing images of a gorgeous red-two  seater with a howling V12  are conjured up in your mind. This is probable, for the new GTC4  Lusso. Although decidedly not ugly, its styling is something  of an acquired taste. Yes it has presence because it's four seater and therefore massive but in my opinion it would be a stretch to describe-it is as beautiful. Crucially though its 6.3 litre twelve banger has been  quietened down to make progress around town more hushed and civil. So not a proper Ferrari then. Wrong its Predecessor the FF, was actually one of the coolest Ferraris you could buy. It was a supercar wrapped in grown up sheet metal and when driving one you didn't feel like an insecure brat trying to prove some thing nobody cared about. The GTC4,
however, may have gone too far down the mature route.Contributing writer Gautam Sharma heads to Italy to drive one to see if the GTC4 has indeed lost the Ferrari magic in its pursuit to appeal to a wider audience. The feature starts on page 28.

Elsewhere, there's another bonkers family car in the shape of the patrol Nismo. You the mentalists at Nissan's performance arm thought it was a good idea to book the hulking family SUV with racing
goodies in the pursuit of pace. Head to page 24 to find out i ti's worked an enjoy the issue
