BMW did the invetable and guaranteed future sales with its entry into compact crossover coupe wannabe segment with the X2.
Although its in concept from in paris the X2 is most of the finished product visually and will slot neatly into BMW product portfolio which is soon to include seven crossovers and SUVs.
Well once the X2 and US built seven seater X7 arrive. Other big news. The kidney grille its big on the new X2 its a little detail that will spead throughout BMW range of cars.
Look closely and the kidney grille site lower than the headlights and the central air intake is also lower to the ground all for a bit of eye trickery. Once its on sale by about 2018 the X2 will be a sportier X1 powered by the same range of four cylinder turbocharged engines.
Lets hope they keep the best bit from the concept car the blue and white rounded on the c-pillars like on classic BMW.
