RED HAT UPDATES ITS SYSTEMS LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT TOOL





New features on satellite 6.2 include support disconnected networks and the simplification of workflows through remote execution and flexible provision .

PRODUCT:  Red ha, a provider of open source technologies recently announced the launch of the  latest version of red hat satellite 6.2. The updated systems life-cycle management tool come equipped with a number of  novel  additions which include remote execution as well as new capabilities for container management and security.



Additional features also include container host provisioning which supports and manages Red hat lightweight container operating system red hat enterprise Linux Atomic host as well as support for disconnected environments.







The platform also boasts enhanced migration services which enables it to import existing hosts operating on  older red hat satellite 5 or 6 version . This is accomplished thanks to new feature scripts and automation capabilities, particularly the bootstrap script that automates the process of registering systems to satellite.






satellite 6.2 also come equipped with red hat satellite capsule Server, a feature which provides federated services useful for scaling. While expanding visibility of the capsule health the new feature also allows administrators to formulate and manage capsules in different geographical  location.
